Apple Bran Muffins

Ingredients:
Flour 1 1/4 cup(s)
Buttermilk 3/4 cup(s)
Maple Sugar 1/4 cup(s)
Vegetable Oil 1/4 cup(s)
Bran Flakes, Measure then Crush 2 1/2 cup(s)
Baking Powder 1 1/2 tsp
Baking Soda 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Large Apple 1 unit(s)
Egg 1 unit(s)

Directions:

  • Grate the unpeeled apple, discard core and seeds.
  • In a large bowl combine bran flakes, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Stir in the grated apple.
  • In another bowl, combine the remaining ingredients, mixing well.
  • Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry and stir until moistened.
  • Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes.
  • Makes 12 to 14.
