Maple Baked Beans

Ketchup 1/3 cup(s)
Maple Sugar or Brown Sugar 1/3 cup(s)
Maple Syrup (amber or medium) 1/2 cup(s)
Beans (makes 5-5 1/2 cups cooked) 2 cup(s)
Salt 1 tsp
Dry Mustard 2 tsp
Large Onion, Chopped 1 unit(s)
Green Pepper, Chopped 1/2 unit(s)


  • Soak beans overnight, keep covered with water as they swell.
  • Drain water off and replace with fresh water to cover.
  • Bring to a boil, lower heat and cook until beans are soft and begin to split, approximately 1 hour.
  • Add remaining ingredients, stir, cover and put in 350 F oven and cook for 2 to 3 hours.
