Directions:
- Have butter soft.
- Add sugar to butter and cream well.
- Then add nuts, peels and fruits, stir well.
- Add liquids and well beaten eggs.
- Sift flour, soda and spices together and add to other ingredients.
- Bake in a slow oven 275°F or steam 4 hours.
- Bake in 3 layers.
- This is not a real dark cake.
